@Tweet Congress

I read an article this morning via @jujujuggles about a congressman Tweeting from a closed meeting with Obama, googled a bit and found Tweet Congress
While I am at it check out Juju's blog, I am so in awe of moms like her, holding down a great job, managing a family and pulling it all off while looking like she does. Makes me wonder why I cannot seem to get it together and all I am responsible for is me and 3.5 pounds of Yorkie.

Crowds Boo Bush at Inauguration

The Split Second Obama Became My President

During the inaugural luncheon Senator Ted Kennedy had a seizure and had to be taken away in an ambulance. I am praying for him diligently. Senator Hatch has just said he was conscious and speaking so that is very positive and hopeful news.
President Obama won me over today. His remarks about Senator Kennedy were appropriate and show that he does have what it takes. He handled his first potential crisis as president with grace and the exact amount of dignity and emotion. I do not think it would be an exagerration in the least to say there was no Democrat alive that had more doubts about him than me. I was unsure that he would ever make me believe in him. He just did.

This Has to Give you Hope

Anyone who has been reading this blog for very long knows that Barack Obama was not my choice for president even though I did vote for him in the end. I believed from the get go that Hillary Clinton was the best person to lead our country out of this mess. I still believe she was a better choice based on what she brings in experience and ability but I have to say as I watch the days leading up to this inauguration, I get it. I still think it is more hooey than reality, he does not have the experience to lead this country but he seems to have something else and people are so desperately clinging to their belief that he can give them what they need. I don't think he can but then again maybe he already did. Maybe all the people need is to believe that he can and that is enough.
Watching this video and the Hope on the face of Bono whom I truly adore, then the look on Obama's face, I wonder if Obama truly gets it, if he understands what the people expect of him and if he feels that he can in any way give it to them or if he is just terrified.

Barack Obama at Madame Tusseauds

Barack Obama's wax dopelganger took office in several European capitals -five days before the real-life Obama takes over in Washington. In the Window of Madame Tussauds' in Amsterdam, a smiling Obama took George W Bush's place as well.
The sculptors at the Tussauds Studio’s immediately started to work on realising this figure as soon as Obama’s victory was announced. Madame Tussauds is located on Dam Square in the heart of Amsterdam, approximately a ten minute walk from Central Station.
Madame Tussauds is open daily from 10:00 am - 5.30 pm. Please take a look at their calendar for opening times during holidays. Madame Tussauds Amsterdam is also open in the evenings until 12:00 midnight for special groups with a reservation.

Hillary Takes Texas

WooHoo! I am grateful for the surge of support Hillary has received in the last few weeks but I sure do wish these endorsements had come a little sooner, I mean where were Ellen and Jack Nicholson when we were fighting for California? It would be great if the party would man up like the GOP did and tell Obama to stand down. He has no business being president of the United States, he doesn't have the experience or the power that this country needs right now.
Obama is not qualified to run this country, he has no stance on anything other than to twist what Hillary says and try to make it seem like that is what he wants also. I am offended by the people who are comparing him to MLK, he is not a tenth the man MLK was and it is an insult to all he stood for. MLK spent his life fighting for what he believed, someone pulled Obama's name out of a hat 2 years ago and decided to turn him into a presidential candidate on some bullshit Hope platform, 3 years ago most people had never heard of him.
Wtf is with the Hope anyway? We don't need someone running on a promise of Hope, we already have hope, what we need is action, someone who knows what they are doing and has the ability to make things happen fast, not a puppet for people with an agenda. We already had eight years of that and personally I do not want another eight years of paying back favors.
To be honest, it really is not fair to Obama, to expect that he can carry this burden when he is clearly not up to the task. When I look at his face I see a man who is burdened, he looks tired and haggard and clearly out of his league. You look at Hillary and you see a woman full of fire, ready to do the job she was born to do. Obama has difficulty even stringing sentences together. He is not ready for what the people ask of him and I am not ready to take that risk. I do believe Obama would make an excellent running mate for Clinton and in eight years he will have the experience to take over. It is the logical way to do it and what is best for this country. It disappoints me that he does not see this.
We are in the shitter people, we need someone who is ready. Hillary Clinton is ready.
